Installing chain tensioner

- Route the positive battery cable without abrasions and do not trap.
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Collect and dispose of emerging fluids. Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.

- Drain the oil chamber in the chain tensioner when reusing the chain tensioner.
- Place the chain tensioner on a level support, slowly compress in the arrow direction and relieve it.
- Catch and dispose of emerging engine oil.
- Repeat process twice.
- Replace the sealing sleeve (1).

- Guide in and install the sealing sleeve (1) on the chain tensioner (2).
- Guide in and install the chain tensioner (1).
- Prepare the commercially available tool.
Number Description 1 Torque wrench 2 Wrench socket set SW19 3 Reduction from 1/2 inch to 3/8 inch - Tighten chain tensioner (2) with commercially available tools (1).

- Feed in and position the positive battery cable (2).
- Tighten nut (1).

- Feed in and install the cover (2) in arrow direction.
The locks (1) must engage audibly.
