Removing the front module bracket
WARNING:
Working on 12 V electrical system

- Make sure that there is no charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment
- Detach battery ground lead from battery
- For auxiliary batteries: Detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries
Preliminary work
- Refer to DEACTIVATING THE 48 V ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Refer to PREPARING THE SPECIAL TOOL
- Refer to REMOVING DOOR TRIM PANEL .
- Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING THE COVER ON THE INTERIOR WINDOW FRAME .
- Refer to REMOVING THE EXTERIOR MIRROR .
- Refer to REMOVING THE OUTER WINDOW CHANNEL STRIP .
- Secure the door window glass to the door frame when it is closed using adhesive tape
- Spread both holders (1) on the door window glass simultaneously using special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) until it is possible to detach the door window glass
- Shift the power window down
- Disconnecting all battery ground leads

- Unlock all electrical plug connections and disconnect
- Unclip the vehicle wiring harness (1) on the front module bracket (2)
- Release the rubber grommet of the Bowden cable for the inner door opener (3)
- Release the screws (1) on the front module bracket (2)
- Open the bayonet closures (1) by twisting and remove the front module bracket (2)
