Removing right luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR COVERING .
• Refer to IF INSTALLED: REMOVING EMERGENCY WHEEL .
• Refer to REMOVING THE LOADING EDGE TRIM .
• Refer to REMOVING FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WELL .

• Remove the cover (1)
• Loosen screw (2)
• Remove the lashing point (3)

  Removing the emergency release handle for the tailgate (additional work for US version) 

  NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details
• Loosen the emergency release handle (1) for the tailgate from the holder
• Detach the Bowden cable (2) and remove the emergency release handle (1) for the tailgate

• Reposition right rear seat backrest
• Loosen the expanding rivet (1)

  If installed: Disconnect plug connection of the 12 V connection (additional work with storage package equipment specification) 

• Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (1) of the 12 V power socket

• Press luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel lug (2) on the outer side of the hinge forwards over the stop on the trim (1) 
• Feed out the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (2) under the sealing lip for the trunk lid and the side trim panel in the rear passenger compartment
• Remove luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (2)
