Remove Soft-close motor

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR COVERING .
• Refer to IF INSTALLED: REMOVING EMERGENCY WHEEL .
• Refer to REMOVING THE LOADING EDGE TRIM .
• Refer to REMOVING FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WELL .
• Refer to REMOVING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANEL ON LEFT .

• Unclip the Bowden cable (1) from the tailgate lock (2) and guide it out

• Disconnect plug connection (1)
• Unclip the Bowden cable (2) from the brackets at the tail panel

• Lever out and remove the soft-close motor (1) from the brackets (2) in the arrow direction
