- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons
NOTE:
In order to guarantee the quality of the Driver Assistance functions in vehicles with concealed radar sensors, please read and comply with the following notes:
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE NUMBER PLATE BASEPLATE FOR THE LICENSE PLATE .
- Refer to REMOVING SEAL FOR FRONT HOOD .
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER FOR THE CENTER ENGINE COMPARTMENT .
- Refer to PARTIALLY RELEASING THE FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANELS .
- Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING TEMPERATURE SENSOR .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT BUMPER COVER .
NOTE:
The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed
- Unlock the detents (1) and feed out the ultrasonic sensors (2) from the front ornamental grille
The ultrasonic sensors (2) remain connected to the wiring harness
- Unlock plug connection (3) and disconnect
- Release wiring harness (4) from the holders
- Loosen and remove the radiator grille (1) on the detents (arrows)
