Checking/Topping up the transfer box oil (Active Torque Control 13-1)

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE 
Damage to the transmission. 
Damage to the transmission due to unapproved transmission oil. 

• Use only the approved transmission oil.
• Check the transmission oil level after completing the repair.

• Open the oil filler plug (1)  .
• Check the transmission oil level on the transfer box (VTG).

• If necessary, top up transmission oil with the special tool 0 493 337 (00 2 080) up to the lower edge of the opening for the oil filler plug.

• Replace the oil filler plug (1)  .

  Parts:  Oil filler plug

• Tighten the oil filler plug (1)  .

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Oil filler and oil drain plugs
M22	tightening torque	60 Nm
