TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Because of the ever-increasing geometric complexity and challenging follow-up steps when working on visible severance cuts, the reinforcement plate is now welded together instead of glued. This change applies to all BMW and MINI models.
Because of the ever-increasing geometric complexity and challenging follow-up steps when working on visible severance cuts, the reinforcement plate is now welded together instead of glued. This change applies to all BMW and MINI models.
- Welding is carried out in the area (1) (incl. water channel).
- Bonding is carried out in the areas (2).
- Mark and make the separating cuts on the new part in accordance with the separating cuts on the vehicle.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
For additional information see: 41 00... Reinforcement plate with stud bolt (glued or welded) - Prepare reinforcement plates at separating cuts (bonded and welded).
- Adjust new part to fit and secure.
- Areas (1) and (2): Drill ø 4.2 mm holes for blind rivets.
Area Number 1 5 2 2 - Areas (1) to (3): Drill ø 4.2 mm holes for blind rivets.
Area Number 1 4 2 3 3 1 - Remove new part and deburr bores.
- Prepare remaining areas for bonded rivet connections with punch rivets.
