Removing and installing/replacing inside door opener of rear left or right door (330i xDrive Wagon, 328d xDrive Wagon, 330i GT xDrive, 340i GT xDrive)

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear DOOR TRIM PANEL .
NOTE:
Graphic is similar.
Lever out lock (2)
Pull off Bowden cable housing (3) towards rear/top the Bowden cable feeds out of its own accord in the process.
Installation note:
To install the Bowden cable, press inner door handle (1) opposite to direction of arrow.
Drill out welding spots (1) on door opener (2) with 8 mm dia. weld spot drill bit and remove. door opener (2).
NOTE:
Door opener is welded to door trim panel only on initial installation. The door opener is screw-connected on second installation. If applicable, release screws instead of welding spots.
Replacement:
Saw off welding pins (1) along edge (2).
IMPORTANT:
Increased risk of damage through welding pin marked red.
Welding pins are not to be completely shortened.
When welding pins are completely shortened, repair screw may leave a pressure mark in the visible area.
Welding pins must protrude by at least dimension (x).
x = 2 mm

Insert door opener in door trim panel.
Installation note:
Welding pins (1) are not to protrude over door trim panel (2).
Installation note:
Secure door opener (1) on door trim panel (3) with repair screw (2).
Tightening torque 51 42 2AZ .
