51 21... Removing weather strip with special tool 00 9 324 at front or rear (330i xDrive Wagon, 328d xDrive Wagon, 330i GT xDrive, 340i GT xDrive)

Special tools required:

00 9 318
00 9 324

Open side window completely.

Front door:

Insert special tool 00 9 324 at front (at A-pillar) in window cavity (1) (TOP label pointing upwards).

Rear door:

Insert special tool 00 9 324 at rear (at C-pillar) in window cavity (2) (TOP label pointing upwards).

NOTE: For purposes of clarity, graphic shows inner door panel and side window removed.

Special tool 00 9 324 must be correctly guided under weather strip (1).

2 Short leg, bottom

3 Long leg, top (TOP)

NOTE: Start at the front or rear, depending on the model.

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!
Raise weather strip (3) no more than 5 mm in each levering operation, otherwise the strip will be bent.

Position special tool 00 9 318 on door trim panel (1).

Push suitable tool (2) into the bore hole of special tool 00 9 324 and thus lever out the weather strip (3) maximum 5 mm in upward direction.

Guide special tools 00 9 324 and 00 9 318 forward or backward step by step until weather strip (3) is fully removed.
