Installing the model inscription at the rear

CAUTION: Laser beam  .
Injury hazard! 

• Do not look into the laser beam.

• Park the vehicle and the special tool 2 407 566 on a flat and even surface.
• Mount the laser on the tripod.
• Switch on laser (Position without automatic level).
• Activate laser horizontally and vertically.

• Place special tool behind the vehicle and center.
• Align vertical laser beam (A) according to specified dimension.

TECHNICAL DATA SPECIFICATION

Left model designation to trunk lid
Dimension A from corner of trunk lid	90 mm

• Align horizontal laser beam (B) according to specified dimension.

TECHNICAL DATA SPECIFICATION

Left model designation to trunk lid
Dimension B from horizontal edge of trunk lid	34 mm

• Clean the adhesive area with cleaning agent R2.

Consumable
Cleaning agent R2	500 ml	83190417324

• Adhere to the air drying time of 2 min.
• Detach the liner from the adhesive strip of the model inscription on the left.
• Align the model inscription on the left with the laser beams as shown, position it on the tailgate and press on it.
• Position special tool behind vehicle.
• Align vertical laser beam (A) according to specified dimension.

• Align horizontal laser beam (B) according to specified dimension.
