Remove top automatic air flap control

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING SEAL FOR FRONT HOOD .
• Refer to REMOVING THE COVER FOR THE CENTER ENGINE COMPARTMENT .
• Refer to REMOVING CENTER RADIATOR ORNAMENTAL GRILLE .
• Refer to PARTIALLY RELEASING THE FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANELS .
• Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING TEMPERATURE SENSOR .
• Refer to REMOVING FRONT BUMPER COVER .

• Get the set of special tools 0 493 752 (00 9 329)  ready.

• Loosen screws (1)  .
• Carefully release the top air flap control towards the front with the detents (2)  .

  NOTE: The operations shown only for one side must be carried out on both sides.
• Release the top air flap control (1)  with a suitable special tool.

  Lever out the ball head (2)  upwards.

• Feed out the top air flap control (1)  upwards.
• Unlock associated plug connections and disconnect.
