61 31 037 Removing and installing/replacing light operating facility
NOTE:
When carrying out repair work on trim panels, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.
Preliminary work needed:
- Removing left fresh air grille. Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) LEFT FRESH AIR GRILLE .
- Partially release bottom center dashboard trim panel. Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BOTTOM CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL TRIM .
Unclip trim with light operating facility (1).
Unlock associated plug connection and disconnect.
Remove cover with lighting operating facility (1).
Replacement:
Release service light unit (1) at detents (2) and remove from trim (3).
Installation note:
Ensure correct detent of service light unit (1) in trim (3).
Clamps on trim (3) must not be damaged or missing.
