Removing the intake plenum
Precondition
- Battery charger is disconnected.
- Trunk lid is open.
Position the 3rd Ignition is switched off.
- Vehicle has gone to sleep (rest state).

NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Before disconnecting the battery ground lead, make sure the vehicle has gone to sleep.
Observe a waiting period of at least 2 minutes!

Preliminary work
- Refer to DE-ENERGIZING THE HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM .
- Refer to CHECKING THAT NO VOLTAGE IS APPLIED .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT RIGHT COVER IN TRUNK .
- Refer to DISCONNECTING FRONT RIGHT BATTERY GROUND LEAD IN TRUNK .
- Refer to REMOVING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR COVERING .
- Refer to REMOVING SERVICE CAP IN TRUNK .
- Refer to REMOVING THE THROTTLE BODY .
- Loosen screws (1).
- Detach the tank vent valve (1) from the holder (2).
- Carefully unclip the coolant expansion tank (1) from the holder on the intake plenum.
- Loosen screw (2).
- Loosen screw (1).
NOTE:
For a better overview the removed condition is shown here.
- Unlock and detach the tank vent line on the connecting element (1) on the bottom side of the intake plenum.
- Unlock and detach the engine ventilation line on the connecting element (2).
- Remove intake plenum.
