Move the engine to the installation position
Preliminary work
- Refer to MOVING THE HOOD TO THE SERVICE POSITION .
- Refer to REMOVING THE ACOUSTIC COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING STAND FOR THE HOOD GASKET LEFT AND RIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE CLEAN AIR PIPE WITH THE RESONATOR .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
Prepared engine bridge
CAUTION:
Components connected to the engine joint or cross member.
Injury hazard!

- Check lifting eyes and engine mounting brackets for damage, e.g. cracks.
- Attach the component to correctly mounted engine joints or cross members only.
- Only lift component, do not move it longitudinally or transversely.
- Insert and position the special tool 2 459 012 at the cylinder head.
- Tighten the screws (1) of the special tool 2 459 012 .

- Carefully
position engine bridge (1)
with help from a support person.
- Make sure the left special tool 2 365 070 is resting correctly on the cross connection.
- Make sure the left special tool 0 496 431 (00 6 060) is resting correctly on the carrier support.
- Make sure the right special tool 2 365 070 is resting correctly on the cross connection.
- Make sure the right special tool 0 496 431 (00 6 060)
is resting correctly at the carrier support.
- Connect the hook 1 0 496 733 (00 6 080)
using special tool 2 459 012
.
- Check that the right special tool 2 365 070 is resting correctly on the cross connection.
- Check that the right special tool 0 496 431 (00 6 060)
is resting correctly at the carrier support.
- Check that the left special tool 2 365 070
is resting correctly on the cross connection.
- Check that the right special tool 0 496 431 (00 6 060) is resting correctly at the carrier support.
- Release the screw (1)
of the left engine mount from the bottom with a standard tool.
- Release the screw (1)
of the right engine mount from the top with a standard tool.
- Raise the engine by turning the special tool 2 361 506 (00 6 103) (spindle) 10 mm.
