Remove front door trim panel

Removing the cover on the door handle
NOTE:

- Protect working area.
- Handle tools and components carefully.
- Lever out the cover (1) using the special tool 2 298 505 beginning on top inwards out of the clamps (2) .
- Guide out cover (1)
forwards from the guide (3)
and remove.
- Loosen screws (1)
.
- Actuate the door opener (1) and keep it in position.
- Remove the cover (2)
using the special tool 0 493 681 (64 1 020)
.
- Actuate the door opener (1) and keep it in position.
- Loosen screw (2)
.
- Twist locks (1)
on hexagon by about 90° and thus unlock them.
- Unclip the door trim panel (1)
in the marked area (2)
from the clips (3)
and (4)
using the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325)
.
- Remove door trim panel (1) from the clamps (2) .
- Pull out the door trim panel (1)
on the locking button and remove it some distance from the door.
- Unlock and remove the Bowden cable for door opener (1) .
- Unlock and disconnect all related plug connections for the door trim panel (2) .
- Remove door trim panel (2)
