Remove the support for the front bumper cover at top

Preliminary work 

• Refer to DEACTIVATING VEHICLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
• Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT WHEELS .
• Refer to REMOVING SEAL FOR FRONT HOOD .
• Refer to REMOVING THE DECORATIVE FRONT GRILL .
• Refer to REMOVING FRONT BUMPER COVER .
• Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT SECTION OF THE FRONT WHEEL ARCH COVER ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT .
• Refer to REMOVING LEFT AND RIGHT BRAKE VENTILATION DUCT .
• Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
• Refer to REMOVING THE BOTTOM FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT COVER .

• Release the air duct (1)  at the detents (2)  and remove.

• Unscrew the screw (1)  on the reinforcement strut (2)  .
• Undo wiring harness (4)  at the clips (3)  .

• Loosen the screws (1)  and remove the strut (2)  .

• Release and remove holder (1)  with detents (2)  .
• Fix the cooling module on the lock support using suitable auxiliary materials.

• Loosen screw (1)  .
• Raise cooling module (2)  slightly and remove the lower cooler module mount (3)  .

• Push and shift the cooling module (1)  carefully in arrow direction.

• Loosen (but do not fully remove) the screw (1)  by 2-3 turns using the special tool 2 464 950.

• Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1)  .

• Loosen screws (1)  and (2)  and (3)  .
• Carefully guide out the support for the front upper bumper cover and remove it in a forward motion.

  The screws that remain inside the support remain hanging on the air flap control and must be carefully guided past the air flap control.
