Removing the speaker in the headlining
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE LEFT AND RIGHT D-PILLAR TRIM PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVING RIGHT C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL LEFT AND RIGHT .

Removing the speaker trim at the headlining
- Unlock the locks (1) in arrow direction.NOTE: It may not be possible to remove the speaker trim without damaging it, in which case it must be replaced.
- Fix the yellow plastic adhesive tape (1) onto the headlining (2).
- Lever out the speaker trim (3) with the special tool 2 298 504
as shown and remove it.
- If necessary, remove the adhesive beads on the locks (1) with a suitable tool.
- Disengage the locks (1) on the holder (2) for the speaker.
- Open insulation (3).
- Unlock and disconnect connector (4).
- Remove the speaker (1) from the holder (2) in the headlining (3).
