Remount the rain-light-solar-condensation sensor.

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to silicone surface .
A damaged silicone surface can lead to malfunctioning of the rain-light-solar condensation sensor .

Do not tap or damage the silicone coated surface on the rain-light-solar condensation sensor.
After loosening lock, wait approx. 30 min. at 20°C for silicone surface to relax.

Release the rain-light-solar-condensation sensor (2) from the retaining spring (3).
To do this, press in on both sides of the retaining springs (3), insert the screwdriver (4) to the side and lift up the detent.
Slowly detach the rain-light-solar-condensation sensor (1) from the holder (2) in the direction of the arrow and simultaneously monitor the release of silicone surface from the outside.
The silicone surface must evenly loosen from the windshield, if required, detach slower.

Checking the gel pad

Check

Check the silicone-coated surface (1) and the PCB (2) for damage.

Replace the gel pad.

Damage to the surface .
The use of sharp-edged tools can damage the surface .

Only use microfiber cloths.

Pull off the gel pad (1) manually.
Do not touch or damage the PCB (2).
Remove present residual gel using a microfiber cloth.

Clean the surface of the rain-light-solar condensation sensor with a microfiber cloth soaked in a solvent cleaner R2.

Pull off the yellow protective film (1).

Apply the gel pad (1) centered on the surface of the rain-light-solar-condensation sensor (2).
Do not squeeze out any air pockets present.

Air pockets disappear within 30 minutes after mounting the sensor to the windscreen.

Feed the rain-light-solar and condensation sensor (1) into the holder (2) on the new windshield in the direction of the arrow.

Centrally press on the rain-light-solar-condensation sensor (2) onto the retaining spring (3).
To lock, consecutively press down both sheet metal tabs (4) on every side.
