Remove rear entrance cover strip

Removing illuminated sill trim on the rear door sill
NOTE:

Application of too much force can lead to bending of plastic components .

- Place special tool directly beside the mounting clip.
- Continue un-clipping the part without using the tool if possible.
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
- Version A:
- Lever out illuminated sill trim (1) with suitable tools from the detent (2) to the top.
- Disconnect plug connection and dismantle the illuminated sill trim (1).
- Version B:
- Lever out illuminated sill trim (1) with suitable tools from the detent (2) to the top.
- Disconnect plug connection and dismantle the illuminated sill trim (1).
- Version A with basic seat:
- Loosen screws (1).
- Release and remove the rear door sill cover strip (2) with the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325)
upwards at the clips (3).
- Version B with electric seat:
- Loosen screws (1).
- Release and remove the rear door sill cover strip (2) with the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) upwards at the detents (3).
