Removing the left hand seat

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Careless handling of tools and sharp-edged components .
Scratches, surface damage .

Fold both rear seats forwards.
Using the special tool 0 496 571 (00 9 327) , carefully unclip the covers (1) and (2).

Loosen screws (1).
Fold both rear seats into their normal position.

Unclip the emergency release (2).
Pull the emergency release (2) to fold the rear seat backrest (1) down.

Disconnecting all battery ground leads

Unclip the cable clip (1).
Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.
CAUTION:
Heavy component .
Heavy components can lead to injury or damage .
- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.

With the assistance of a second person, carefully lift the left hand seat (3) out of the vehicle.
