Removing the wiring harness section for the sensor system of cylinders 5 to 8

- Secure the vehicle hoist against lowering and lifting.
- Make sure that the vehicle does not lift off the mounting plates on the vehicle lift.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
After a brake pad exchange and before pressing the brake pedal: It is imperative to apply the electromechanical parking brake.
If this is not observed, a CC message appears and the brake system switches to the emergency program. The brake booster is no longer active.

Wiring harness section for the sensor system of cylinders 5 to 8
- Unlock the locks (1)
.
- Feed out and remove the cover (1)
in arrow direction from the holder (2)
of DME control unit cylinders 1 to 4.
- Detach all cables (1)
from the DME control unit holder.
- Detach all cables (1)
from the DME control unit holder.
- Remove the connector (1)
from the DME control unit of cylinders 5 to 8.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (1) from the boost pressure sensor.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (2) at the tank vent valve.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (3) from the Lambda oxygen sensor.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (4) from the oxygen sensor monitor.
- Loosen screws (5)
.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (6) from the camshaft position sensor.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (7) from the camshaft position sensor.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (8) at the high pressure pump.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (9) from the hot film air mass meter.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (1) from the boost pressure sensor.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (2) at the throttle valve of cylinders 5 to 8.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (3)
from the knock sensors of cylinders 5 to 8.
- Unlock and disconnect the connector (1) on the VANOS solenoid valve of the exhaust side.
- Unlock and disconnect the connector (2) on the VANOS solenoid valve of the intake side.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (3) on the air conditioning compressor.
- Unlock and disconnect the connector (4)
on the boost pressure sensor.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (1)
from the rail pressure sensor.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (1) from the exhaust turbocharger.
- Release, feed out and remove the wiring harness section for the sensor system of cylinders 5 to 8 from the clamps.
