- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
In order to guarantee the quality of the Driver Assistance functions in vehicles with concealed radar sensors, the component may be repainted only in compliance with the repair specifications described in the information "Standards for refinishing paint with a sensor system".
No stickers or films (transparent or colored) may be affixed in the transmission areas of the radar sensors.
If there are no radar sensors fitted, the component may be painted.
The following features can be used to identify whether radar sensors are installed on the vehicle:
Radar sensors are installed at the rear if the triangular warning light is present on the exterior mirror (in the mirror glass or on the mirror frame).
Radar sensors are installed at the front and rear if the triangular warning light is present on the exterior mirror (in the mirror glass or on the mirror frame) in conjunction with optional equipment S5ATA or S5AUA.

- Refer to REMOVING THE TOP RIGHT AND LEFT COVER IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE REAR LEFT AND RIGHT WHEELS .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT ORNAMENTAL GRILLE .
- Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING THE FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT WHEEL ARCH TRIM .
- Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING THE FRONT SECTION OF THE FRONT WHEEL ARCH COVER ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT .
- Loosen screws (1).NOTE: Perform the steps on the left and right side.
- Loosen screws (1).
- Unlock plug connections (2) and disconnect.
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1) in the wheel well on the left.
- Unlock the plug connection (1) in the right wheel arch and disconnect.
- Unlock and disconnect plug connection (1) in the wheel well at the bottom right.NOTE: Perform the steps on the left and right side.
- Loosen screws (1).NOTE: Perform the steps on the left and right side.
- Loosen screw (1).
- Release bumper cover (1) from the locks in the area of dotted line (2).
- Guide out bumper cover (1) to the front and remove it with a support person.
