Removing the door sill trim panel

Precondition

Front door is open.

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Mechanical effects.
Paint damage.

Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.

Loosen nuts and bolts (arrows).
Carefully release door sill trim panels (1) along dashed line with a suitable plastic wedge from detents.
If necessary, unlock respective plug connection and disconnect.
