Fastening the wiring harness section to the left cylinder head cover

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Improper routing of cables and wiring harnesses.
Trapped, crushed or damaged cables may cause short circuits and malfunctions.

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Malfunction or failure of the DME.
Grounding points that are not screwed on may lead to malfunction or failure of the DME.

Screw all screw points of the cable ducts on again. Some of the screw points are also grounding points.

Check the cover (1) for damage.
Replace the faulty or fuel-soaked cover.
Insert and Install the cover (1) at the left cylinder head cover.

Tighten down screw (3) .

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Cable duct to cylinder head cover/cylinder head
M6 screw
	tightening torque	10 Nm

Position the grounding cables and tighten the nuts (2) .

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Ground cable on cylinder head cover/ground pin
Nut M5
	tightening torque	4.6 Nm

Connect connectors (1) and lock.
The connectors (1) must engage audibly.

NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes Some parts may differ in certain details.
Check all connectors (1) on the injectors again to ensure they are correctly fitted.
Check if all connectors (1) have been engaged.

Pull the coolant hose (1) In the marked area carefully upwards over the refrigerant line and lay it down.

Tighten down screw (1) .

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Cable duct to cylinder head cover/cylinder head
M 6 screw
	tightening torque	10 Nm

Carefully press the coolant hose (1) down in the marked area and position at the refrigerant line (3) .
Lock holder (1) .
The holders (1) must snap-in audibly.

Secure the cable (3) in the clamps.

Tighten down screws (2) .

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Cable duct to cylinder head cover/cylinder head
M 6 screw
	tightening torque	10 Nm

Connect connectors (1) and lock.
The connectors (1) must engage audibly.
Secure the clamps (arrows).
Connect the connector (2) from the oxygen sensor monitor with the holder (3) and lock.
The connector (2) must engage audibly.
Connect connectors (1) and lock.
The connector (1) must engage audibly.

Secure the clamps (arrows).

Position the ground cable and tighten the screw (1) .
