Removing the cover on the inside of the window frame at the rear

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Preliminary work

Refer to REMOVING REAR DOOR TRIM .

Prerequisite

Side window glass is open.

Open side window.
Lever out cover (1) from clips (2).
Start at the front and remove the cover (1) from the door frame towards the bottom inside.

Only for G07 with SA sun protection:
Lever out cover (1) from the clip (2).
Remove the cover (1) from the door frame towards the bottom inside.

Unclip the cover (1) outwards from the door frame and remove.

Open side window.
Lever out cover (1) from the clip (2).
Remove the cover (1) from the door frame towards the bottom inside.
