Removing the door sill trim panel

Preliminary work

Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING THE FRONT WHEEL ARCH TRIM (DOOR SILL) .

Prerequisite

Front door is open.

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Mechanical effects .
Paint damage .

Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.

Release the rear wheel arch trim (1) at the clips (2).

Unscrew all bolts and nuts (arrows).
Release door sill trim panel (1) from rear starting at clip (2).
Carefully release door sill trim panels (1) along broken line with a suitable plastic wedge from detents and remove.
If necessary, unlock respective plug connection and disconnect.
