Move the engine to the installation position

Preliminary work
- Refer to BRINGING FRONT COMPARTMENT LID IN THE SERVICE POSITION .

Prepared engine bridge
- Insert and position the special tool 2 459 012 at the cylinder head.
- Tighten the screws (1) of the special tool 2 459 012 .

Conduct the following operation with the assistance of a second person.

- Carefully position engine bridge (1) with help from a support person.
- Mount rests 0 496 437 (00 6 052)
and 0 496 438 (00 6 053)
, and also the adapter 2 318 635
, on the profile strip 0 496 436 (00 6 051)
.
- Position the special tool 0 496 437 (00 6 052) between the screws (1) on the connecting support.
- When positioning the special tools 0 496 438 (00 6 053) between the strut brace and the tension strut, make sure the brake line (1) does not get damaged.

Conduct the following operation with the assistance of a second person.

- Carefully position engine bridge (1) with help from an assistant.
- Correctly position the special tools 0 496 437 (00 6 052) and 0 496 438 (00 6 053)
.
- If necessary, release the nuts (1) and position the engine bridge (2).
- By shifting the engine bridge on the profile strips of the special tool 0 496 430 (00 6 050), align it above the engine mounting bracket (1) and screw in place.
- Align hook 0 496 733 (00 6 080) above engine mounting bracket (1).
- Connect hook 0 496 733 (00 6 080)
to engine mounting bracket (1).
- Release the screw (1) of the right engine mount from the top with a standard tool.
- Loosen screw (1).
- Loosen screw (1).
- Remove the left reinforcement strut (2).
- Prepare special tool 0 493 751 (11 9 150)
as shown.
- Release the screw of the left engine mount from the bottom with the special tool 0 493 751 (11 9 150)
.
- Raise the engine by turning the spindle 2 361 506 (00 6 103) by 10 mm.
