Preliminary work
- Refer to ADJUSTING THE STEERING COLUMN POSITION .
- Refer to DEACTIVATING THE 48 V ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE GAP COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE SIDE PANEL ON THE LEFT DASHBOARD .
- Loosen screw (1).
- Carefully unclip the decorative strip (2) with the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) at the clamps (3).
- Lift decorative strip (2) and, if necessary, unlock and disconnect the plug connections underneath it.
- Remove the decorative strip (2).
