Remove glove compartment

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING THE SIDE PANEL ON THE RIGHT DASHBOARD .
• Refer to REMOVING RIGHT FOOTWELL TRIM .
• Refer to REMOVING GLOVE BOX LIGHT .

• Release the plug connection (1) from the glove compartment (do not disconnect the plug connection).

• Release the screws (1) in the glove compartment.

• Loosen screws (1).

• Release the covers (1) from the glove compartment in arrow direction with the special tool  0 493 681 (64 1 020)  .
• Loosen screws (2).

• Release the screws (1) from the rear on the hinge of the glove compartment.

• Slightly lift the glove box lid (1) as shown and release the screws (2).
• Carefully feed out the glove compartment from the dashboard, and while doing so, unlock and disconnect all the plug connections.
