Removing the tail light on left and right of tailgate

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING THE TRIM STRIP ON THE TRUNK LID .
• Refer to REMOVING THE TOP TRIM FOR THE REAR WINDOW FRAME .
• Refer to REMOVING THE TRIM FOR THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE REAR WINDOW FRAMES .
• Refer to REMOVING THE POWER TAILGATE SWITCH .
• Refer to REMOVING TRUNK COMPARTMENT LIGHT ON TRUNK LID .
• Refer to REMOVING TAILGATE TRIM PANEL .
• Refer to REMOVING THE REAR VIEW CAMERA (RFK) .
• Refer to REMOVING THE TRUNK LID HANDLE .

Removing the tail light from the tailgate 

• Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
• Loosen nuts (2).
• Unlock the detents (3).
