Installing the door sill cover strip on the rear left and right
- Install the rear door sill cover strip
Bending of plastic components.
Application of too much force can lead to bending of plastic components.
- Place special tool directly beside the mounting clip.
- Continue unclipping the part without using the tool if possible.
- Version A:
Check the clips (3) for damage and availability.
Damaged or missing clips (3) must be replaced.
Check the detents (4) for damage; if necessary, replace the rear door sill cover strip (2) .
Correctly position the rear door sill cover strip (2) and engage at the clips (3) and the detents (4) .
Mount the expanding rivets (1) .
- Version A:
Check the detents (2) for damage, if necessary replace the illuminated sill trim (1) .
Mount the illuminated sill trim (1) and connect and lock the connector while doing so.
Position the illuminated sill trim (1) and snap into the detents (2) .
- Version B:
Connect and lock the connectors and correctly position the rear door sill cover strip (1) .
Engage the rear door sill cover strip (1) and at the clips (2) and the detents (3) .
