Partially undoing wiring harness from right cylinder head cover

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

- Unlock the locks (1) .
- Feed the cover panel (2)
out to the top and remove.
- Unlock lock (1) and disconnect.
- Release the wiring harness section (2)
from the clamps (arrows) and place aside.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Release the cable (2)
from the bracket (arrow) and put it aside.
- Unlock plug connection (3) and disconnect.
- Unlock the connector (2) and disconnect from the bracket (1) .
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (4) .
- Release the clamps (arrows).
- Loosen screws (5)

- Unlock and disconnect the connectors (2) from the Injectors with a small slotted screwdriver (1) .
- Unlock the lock in the direction of the arrow with a small slotted screwdriver (1)
. Disconnect the connector (2)
on the connector housing from the injector.
- Unlock the plug connections (1) and disconnect them from the injectors.
- Release nuts (2) and remove ground cable.
- Loosen screw (3) .
- Unlock lock (4) .
- Remove the wiring harness section (5)
and put to one side.
- Loosen nuts (1) .
- Thread out the positive battery cables (2)
and set aside.
- Loosen nut (1) .
- Feed out the ground cable (2) and set it aside.
- Loosen screw (3) .
- Loosen screw (4) .
- Remove the wiring harness section (5)
and put to one side.
- Remove the sound insulation (1) on the right-hand cylinder head cover.
- Check sound insulation (1)
for damage. Replace faulty or fuel-soaked sound insulation.
