Partially attaching the wiring harness to the right cylinder head cover

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Malfunction or failure of the DME.
Grounding points that are not screwed on may lead to malfunction or failure of the DME.

Screw all screw points of the cable ducts on again. Some of the screw points are also grounding points.

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Improper routing of cables and wiring harnesses.
Trapped, crushed or damaged cables may cause short circuits and malfunctions.

Route all cables without abrasions, do not trap and crush.

Check sound insulation (1) for damage. Replace faulty or fuel-soaked sound insulation.
Install the sound insulation (1) on the right-hand cylinder head cover.

Guide in the wiring harness section (5) and install.
Tighten the screws (3) and (4) hand-tight.

Tighten down screw (4).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Cable duct to cylinder head cover/cylinder head
M 6 screw
	tightening torque	10 Nm

Tighten down screw (3) .

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Cable duct to cylinder head cover/cylinder head
M 6 screw
	tightening torque	10 Nm

Thread in the ground cable (2) and install.

Tighten nut (1) .

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Ground cable on cylinder head cover/ground pin
Nut M5
	tightening torque	4.6 Nm

Guide in and install the positive battery cables (2) .

Tighten nuts (1) .

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Auxiliary terminal for jump starting
Flange nut M8
	Tightening torque	15 Nm

Guide in the wiring harness section (5) and install.
Make sure that the lock (4) is locked and snaps-in audibly.

Tighten down screw (3) .

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

	tightening torque	10 Nm

Position the ground cable and tighten the nuts (2) .

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Ground cable on cylinder head cover/ground pin
Nut M5
	tightening torque	4.6 Nm

Connect connectors (1) and lock.
The connectors (1) must engage audibly.

NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
Check all connectors (1) on the Injectors again to ensure they are correctly fitted.
Check if all connectors (1) have been engaged.

	tightening torque	10 Nm

Secure the clamps (arrows).
Connect connectors (4) and lock.
The connectors (4) must engage audibly.
Connect plug (2) with holder (1) and lock.
The connector (2) must engage audibly.
Connect connectors (3) and lock.
The connector (3) must engage audibly.
Unlock the locks (1) .
Feed the cover (2) out toward the top and remove.

Attach the cable (2) to the cable bracket (arrow).
Connect connectors (1) and lock.
The connector (1) must engage audibly.

Attach the wiring harness section (2) to the clamps (arrows).
Make sure that the lock (1) is locked and snaps-in audibly.
