Remove fan cowl

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
When the engine is stopped after the completion of trip, it may be necessary to run the electric fan. In rare cases, operation of the electric fan can last up to 11 min. This protects the components. In this case, replacing the electric fan will not remedy the problem!

Preliminary work

Refer to REMOVING THE TOP RIGHT AND LEFT COVER IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT .

Refer to REMOVING THE TENSION STRUT AT THE SHOCK TOWER ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT .

Prerequisite

Ignition is switched off.

Release the clamp (1) from the fan cowl (3).
Release the bracket (2) from the fan cowl (3).

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Unlock lock (2).
Feed out the auxiliary coolant pump (3) from the high-temperature coolant radiator (4) in the direction arrowed, and set it aside.

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.
Disconnect clamp (3).

Unlock the locks (1).
Carefully guide the fan cowl (2) out in the direction of the arrow and remove it.
