Removing the acoustic cover
NOTE:

Damage to the acoustic cover/design cover .
Jerky movements during disassembly and application of excessive force during installation may result in breakage of the acoustic cover/design cover .

Jerky movements during disassembly and application of excessive force during installation may result in breakage of the acoustic cover/design cover .
- Disassemble or mount the acoustic cover/design cover carefully.
- Disassemble or mount snap-lock couplings of the ball pivots one after the other.
- Disassemble or mount the acoustic cover/design cover only at temperatures > 20°C.
- Use only distilled water as an auxiliary material during installation, no lubricants.
- Unclip acoustic cover (1) from the top and remove.
Removing intake silencer housing
Precondition
Ignition is switched off.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (1) of the Lambda oxygen sensors.
- Unlock the plug connection (2) and disconnect from the holder (3).
- Release the cable (4) of the Lambda oxygen sensor from clamps.
- Loosen clamps (1).
- Release the intake filter housing (1) up out of the rubber mounts (marks).
- Disconnect the intake filter housing (1) from the clean air pipe (2).
- Feed out the cable of the Lambda oxygen sensors through the opening (arrow) on the intake filter housing (1).
- Feed out and remove the intake silencer housing (1).
- Mount rests 0 496 437 (00 6 052) and 0 496 438 (00 6 053), and also the adapter 2 318 635, on the
profile strip 0 496 436 (00 6 051)
.
- Position the special tool 0 496 437 (00 6 052)
between the screws (1) on the connecting support.
- When positioning the special tools 0 496 438 (00 6 053) between the strut brace and the tension strut,
make sure the brake line (1) does not get damaged.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Conduct the following operation with the assistance of a second person. - Carefully position engine bridge (1) with help from an assistant.
- Correctly position the special tools 0 496 437 (00 6 052) and 0 496 438 (00 6 053) on the left and right
.
- Prepare special tool 0 490 567 (11 0 020)
.
- If necessary, release the nuts (1) and position the engine bridge (2).
- Attach the special tool 0 490 567 (11 0 020) on the mounting bracket (1).
- Attach the special tool 0 490 567 (11 0 020)
to the engine bridge.
- Release the screw (1) from the right wheel well.
- Loosen screw (1).
- Remove the right hand reinforcement strut (2).
- Release the screw (1) of the right engine mount with a standard tool.
- Release the screws (1) of the left engine mount from the bottom.
- Lift the engine by 10 mm by turning the spindle 2 361 506 (00 6 103) .
