Remove the right door sill trim panel
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Remove the door sill trim panel
Precondition
Front door is open.

- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.
- Loosen screws (1).
- Loosen nuts (2).
- Unclip clip (3).
- Slightly heat the trim (4) in the area (1) with a hot air blower and release it from the adhesive strips in the area (1).
- Release the trim (4) at the clips (2) and (3).
- Do not remove the trim (4) yet as the trim (4) is removed together with the door sill trim panel.
- Use a suitable plastic wedge to carefully release the door sill trim panel (1) from the detents along the dotted line (2) and guide out with the trim (3) towards the front. If necessary, unlock and disconnect the respective plug connection.
- Disengage and remove the trim (1) at the snap-in lugs (2).
