Remove the decorative strip on the dashboard on the left

Precondition 

• The steering wheel is adjusted downwards all the way back.

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING THE KOMBI TRIM .
• Refer to REMOVING THE SIDE PANEL ON THE LEFT DASHBOARD .

• Release the screws (1) at side on the decorative strip (2).

• Carefully unclip the decorative strip (1) with the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) at the clamps (2) and (3).
• Remove the decorative strip (1) and disconnect the plug connections behind it.
• Remove decorative strip (1).
