Install positive battery cable

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

- Connect positive battery cable to the starter motor.
- Secure positive battery cable at the clamp (2).
- Tighten the nut (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Battery positive lead to starter M8 Tightening torque 15 Nm - Connect the connector (1) to the starter and lock.
The connector (1) must engage audibly.
NOTE: To provide a better overview: Illustration of surrounding parts removed. - Fix the clip (2).
- Tighten down screw (4).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Hexagon screw M6 with threaded bolt M5 Screw M6 with threaded bolt M5 tightening torque 10 Nm - Position the grounding point (5).
- Tighten nut (3).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Ground cable on cylinder head cover/ground pin Nut M5 tightening torque 4.6 Nm - Tighten down screw (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Wiring harness to cylinder head cover M 6x16 screw tightening torque 10 Nm - Position the wiring harness (3).
- Fix wiring harness mountings (2).
- Tighten down screw (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Wiring harness to cylinder head cover M 6x16 screw tightening torque 10 Nm - Secure the wiring harness mounting (5).
- Secure the wiring harness of the integrated power supply module (4) to fixtures (3).
- Tighten the screws (2).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Wiring harness to cylinder head cover M 6x16 screw tightening torque 10 Nm - Clip in transmission wiring harness (1).
- Feed in and install positive battery cable.
- Connect plug connection (3) and lock.
- Position the positive battery cable on the alternator.
- Tighten the nut (2).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Positive battery cable to alternator M8 tightening torque 19 Nm - Attach cover panel (1).
- Clip in the cable clip (1).
- Guide in and install the positive battery cables (2).
- Tighten nuts (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Auxiliary terminal for jump starting Flange nut M8 Tightening torque 15 Nm - Feed in the cover (2) downwards and install.
- Locks must lock audibly
