Install drive belt

Only if the drive belt is torn: Checking the injector shafts for coolant residues and cleaning if necessary

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
If the drive belt breaks, the combustion engine can run hot. Therefore the injector shafts must be checked for coolant residues.
If the combustion engine has run hot, the coolant can overflow from the coolant expansion tank and get into the injector shafts.
NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Injectors contaminated with coolant.
Damage and failure of injectors that have been wetted with coolant for a long time.
  • Covering injectors with suitable auxiliary materials before testing or topping up the coolant is mandatory.
  • Always cover injectors with suitable aids before working on the cooling system in the vicinity of the injectors.
  • If necessary draw off all of the coolant from the coolant expansion tank.
  • Always clean injectors or injector shafts contaminated with coolant (e.g. with compressed air).
