Releasing air conditioning compressor

Release the belt tensioner (2) with a suitable socket wrench (1) clockwise in arrow direction.

Maintain the preload of the belt tensioner (1) using a suitable socket wrench (3).
Secure the belt tensioner (1) against turning with the special tool 0 496 268 (11 0 390) (2).

Remove the drive belt (1) from the belt pulley (2) of the air conditioning compressor (5) and put it aside.
Unlock plug connection (3) and disconnect.
Loosen screws (4).
Detach and tie up the air conditioning compressor (5).
