Install the rear window

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The glass activator is used for adhesion between glass or ceramic glass and the adhesive. Therefore, a thin, homogeneous and continuous line of glass activator must be applied. If the window glass is to be reused with a cut-back adhesive bead, glass activator is not needed.
The glass activator may not be applied in the field of view or the point grid. Fresh glass activator in the field of view must immediately be wiped off because hardened glass activator will leave a haze behind.

Apply primer 206 to the glass roof so that there is a wide trace of primer next to the crushed adhesive bead.

Prepare the adhesive.

Prepare a standard nozzle C.

Check the retaining lugs (arrows) for damage.
The retaining lugs (arrows) must not bent or missing.
Make sure that the trim strip (1) is not bent.

Position trim strip (1) on side window (2) correctly and press it into the seal carefully.

Fasten special tool 0 492 609 (51 3 010) on side window (2) (moisten the suction lifter slightly).

Apply adhesive bead (1) along the rubber overmolding (2) on the side window (3).

Coat bead joint.
Place the side window (1) with the special tool 0 492 609 (51 3 010) on the side panel and guide in with the guide pins (2).
Engage the side window (1) into the hook and loop tape (Dual Lock tape) (3) and the guide pins (2).
Secure the side window (1) with the yellow plastic adhesive tape (4) on the body.
