- Avoid exposure of lateral forces to the control rod of the electrical controller drive.
- Adjust the standard caliper gauge (3) to dimension (A).
Dimension (A) = 26.5 mm
- Adjust the control rod (1) of the new electrical wastegate valve controller (2) to the dimension (A).
- Insert and position the electrical wastegate valve controller (1) in the heat shield (2) in the arrow direction in the bore of the compressor housing (3).
- Tighten down screws (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION
Wastegate valve controller to exhaust turbocharger M4x12 Tightening torque 2 ± 0.3 Nm - Turn the lock nut (1) by hand onto the stop on the linkage.NOTE: The description is based on an installed component.
- Push lever (2) of the wastegate valve carefully
onto the control rod until it reaches the stop.
In the process, any effect of transverse force on the control rack is to be avoided.
- Place the nut (1) for the system on the lever (2) of the wastegate valve.
- Place the nut (3) for the system on the lever (2) of the wastegate valve.
- Counter support the nut (3) with a standard open-end wrench, tighten the nut with the special tool 0 493 434 (11 7 200)
(1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION
Lock nut on wastegate valve controller to exhaust turbocharger M6 Tightening torque 6.6 ± 1 Nm - Position the engine control unit in the engine compartment.
- Connect connectors (1) and lock.
- The cable bracket (2) must not be engaged in the adapter plate.
- Connect the wastegate valve controller (1) and engine wiring harness with the adapter cable 2 408 789 .
