Removing illuminated front sill trim from the door sill

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE 
Bending of plastic components. 
Application of too much force can lead to bending of plastic components. 

• Place special tool directly beside the mounting clip.
• Continue unclipping the part without using the tool if possible.

• Lever out illuminated sill trim (1) with suitable tools from the detent (2) to the top.
• Disconnect the plug connection and remove the illuminated sill trim (1).
