General note on electrical roller cover for luggage compartment

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
When closing the electrical roller cover for luggage compartment, if the closing force exceeds a certain value, e.g. due to objects in the travel path, the roller cover for luggage compartment disengages out of the drivers. As a result, the electrical roller cover for luggage compartment remains inoperable. The following test steps make the electrical roller cover for luggage compartment operable again.
When closing the electrical roller cover for luggage compartment, if the closing force exceeds a certain value, e.g. due to objects in the travel path, the roller cover for luggage compartment disengages out of the drivers. As a result, the electrical roller cover for luggage compartment remains inoperable. The following test steps make the electrical roller cover for luggage compartment operable again.
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the left and right side.
- First, check the roller cover for luggage compartment for vertical fit, then for horizontal fit.
Check
- Check the roller cover for luggage compartment (1) for correct vertical
fit.
Result
» The roller cover for luggage compartment (1) is not located at the upper limit position (2).
Measure
- Correctly position the roller cover for luggage compartment:
- Guide the roller cover for luggage compartment (1) on both sides, horizontally and carefully upwards in the arrow direction, until the roller cover for luggage compartment (1) is at the upper stop.
Check
- Check the roller cover for luggage compartment (1) for correct horizontal
fit.
The roller cover for luggage compartment must be locked in place in the driver (2).
Result
» The roller cover for luggage compartment (1) is not located in the driver (2).
Measure
- Correctly position the roller cover for luggage compartment:
- Pull the roller cover for luggage compartment (1) on both sides simultaneously and carefully in the arrow direction until the roller cover for luggage compartment engages into the driver (2).
