Mount the exhaust system in a de-energized state, following the tightening sequence from the rear silencer towards the exhaust manifold.

NOTE:
Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
- Check all the rubber mounts (1) of the exhaust system for damage.
- Replaced damaged rubber mounts.

- Wear safety goggles and hand protection.
- Version A:
Open the weld seam (1) with a conventional tool.
- Remove the circlip (2).
- Replace the clamps to the left and right.

- Feed in exhaust system with three persons.
- Connect exhaust system to catalytic converters.
- Replace nuts (2).

- Tighten nuts (2).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Rear silencer to body/bumper support M8
Replace nuts.Tightening torque 19 Nm - Connect and lock the connectors (1) at left and right.
The connectors (1) must engage audibly.
- Replace the screw (1).

- Tighten the screw (1) to the left of the rear axle support.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Exhaust system to rear axle carrier M8x25
Replace screw.tightening torque 28 Nm - Replace the screw (1).

- Tighten the screw (1) to the right of the rear axle support.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Replace screw.tightening torque 28 Nm - Version A:
Tighten the clamp (1) on the left.

If necessary, replace clamp.tightening torque 47 Nm - Version A:
Tighten the clamp (1) on the right.

If necessary, replace clamp.tightening torque 47 Nm - Version B:
Replace the seals (1).
