Remove the module bracket from the front door

NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Preliminary work
- Refer to DEACTIVATING THE 48 V ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Refer to REMOVING THE MIRROR TRIANGLE COVER . .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL .
- Secure the side window glass to the door frame at the top when it is closed using adhesive tape.
- Spread both holders simultaneously (1) on the side window glass using special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) until it is possible to detach the side window glass.
- Shift power windows down by approximately 10 cm.
Disconnecting all battery ground leads
- Unlock and disconnect all plug connections on the module carrier.
- Release all the cable clips of the wiring harness from the module carrier.
- Loosen screws (1).
- Release the snap fasteners (1) and feed out the module bracket.
NOTE:
The module bracket cannot be removed if the power windows are moved completely down.
