Remove right luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (all equipment versions)

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVE THE ROLLER COVER FOR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT .
• Refer to REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR COVERING .
• Refer to REMOVING THE FLAP IN THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANEL ON THE RIGHT .
• Refer to REMOVING THE LEFT OR RIGHT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LAMP .
• Refer to REMOVING RIGHT BACKREST SIDE SECTION .
• Refer to REMOVE REAR ENTRANCE COVER STRIP .
• Refer to REMOVING RIGHT BOTTOM C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL (3RD ROW OF SEATS) .

Removing the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel on left (all equipment versions) 

Removing the left luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (without third-row seating) 

• Only for equipment specification without electrical roller cover for luggage compartment: 

  Loosen expanding rivet (1).

• Loosen expanding rivet (1).
• Remove the cover (2) and release the underlying bolt.
• Release the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (3) from the clip in the upper area.

• Version A: 
• Unlock available plug connections and disconnect.
• Detach the Bowden cable (1) on the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (2).
• Feed out and remove the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (2) toward the rear at the trunk lid lock.

• Version B: 
• Unlock available plug connections and disconnect.
• Detach the Bowden cable (1) on the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (2).
• Feed out and remove the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (2) toward the rear at the trunk lid lock.

Removing the left luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (with 3rd row of seats) 

• Use the special tool 2 298 505 to lever out the covers (1) toward the top and feed out.

• Unscrew the screw (1) and remove the strap fitting.

• Loosen screw (1).
• Remove the cover (2) and release the screw below that.
• Release the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (3) upwards on the clips (4).

• Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
• Feed out and remove the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (2) toward the rear at the trunk lid lock.
