Installing headlight repair kit

Prerequisite

Headlight removed

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Use the repair kit to replace damaged holders. The replacement of the headlamp is not required .

NOTE: Description is for right component only. The procedure on the left side is identical.

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
To protect the component from scratches: Place the component on a soft surface.

The repair kit for headlight can be used for the holders (1) and (2) and (3) and (4) and (5).

Unlock the detents (1) in arrow direction and remove the part (2).
The part (2) is no longer required.

Release the screw sleeve (1).

If applicable, remove the damaged holder (1) along the dotted line as shown (2).

Attach the new holder (1) with the included screws (2). Remount the screw sleeve (3).

Release the screw sleeve (1).

Attach the new holder (1) with the included screws (2).
Remount the screw sleeve (3) on the new holder (1).

Disassemble the adjusting element (1).

Read the position of the holder (1) on the scale (2) and note.
NOTE: Use the center point of the screw hole to determine the scale value.

Release the screw (1) and remove the malfunctioning holder (2).
