External damage to air conditioning compressor .
Excessive force applied during removal will result in damage to the air conditioning compressor .

- Remove the air conditioning compressor without damaging it and without applying external force.
- Avoid impacts/knocks to plastic belt pulley (caused by tools, contact with base).
- Return faulty air conditioning compressors in their original packaging only.
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
When the engine is stopped after the completion of trip, it may be necessary to run the electric fan. In rare cases, operation of the electric fan can last up to 11 min. This protects the components. In this case, replacing the electric fan will not remedy the problem!

- Wear safety goggles and protective gloves when disconnecting the refrigerant line.
- Close the refrigerant lines with seal plugs.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (1) on the alternator (2).
- If applicable, remove coolant hose (1) from the holder (2) and push it somewhat to the side.
- Unlock plug connection (3) and disconnect.

- Loosen screws (1).
- Remove refrigerant lines from air conditioning compressor (2).
- Loosen screw (1).
- Feed out and remove the pressure line (2) between the air conditioning compressor and the air conditioning condenser.
