Removing the 12-V lithium-ion auxiliary battery
Preliminary work
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER .

- Make sure that there is no charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery ground lead from battery.
- For auxiliary batteries: Detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Open positive terminal cover (1).
- Release nut (1).
- Release nuts (2).WARNING: Unprotected battery terminals .
Risk of short circuits! Risk of fire!- Cover the vehicle battery.
- Detach positive battery cable (3) from the positive battery terminal and secure laterally.
- Release nuts (1).
- Remove the battery cover (2).
- Remove 12-V lithium-ion auxiliary battery (1).
